On the final day of the 2014 Heli-Expo, Bell Helicopters announced that Abu Dhabi Aviation has signed a letter of intent (LoI), which if firmed, would see the Gulf-based operator receive ten Bell 525 Relentless helicopters.

The Bell 525 Relentless will support a number of missions based in the UAE, including offshore oil and gas, emergency medical support, VIP transport, firefighting and search and rescue.

John Garrison, Bell Helicopter president and CEO said: “We have spent more than half a century serving the Middle East, and Abu Dhabi Aviation has been a large part of that history.”

“The 525 Relentless is the perfect aircraft complement to their existing fleet and we are absolutely thrilled to have them as our launch customer for the region,” added Garrison.

Abu Dhabi Aviation is the largest commercial operator in the Middle East, operating 38 Bell helicopters.
