Babcock International Group cleared to acquire the Avincis Group

Babcock International Group PLC has received approvals from the Spanish Council of the National Markets and Competition Commission and the Portuguese Competition Authority in respect of the acquisition of the Avincis Group.

Babcock is now clear to complete the acquisition. Completion is expected to take place in May 2014. Babcock is the UK’s leading engineering support services company.

Avincis is a provider of helicopter and fixed wing services in medical, oil & gas support, search and rescue, fire-fighting and civil protection. Its global subsidiaries include INAER, Bond Aviation Group, Australian Helicopters, Bond Helicopters Australia and Norsk Helikopterservice.
