Dart Aerospace gains approval for R66 cargo hook

Dart Aerospace has gained approval for a primary Robinson R66 cargo hook. The new hook is approved by Transport Canada.

The company expects that FAA and EASA approval will follow shortly.

The cargo hook is designed to be mounted directly to the belly of the helicopter and is normally operated by an electrical release switch but has also a manual back-up system that will jettison the externally carried load.

With a lift capacity of 1,015 lb, the hook opens up the utility market to R66 operators.
