Erickson wins two North American helicopter contracts

Erickson Inc. has won two important North American contracts, the first with the US Forest Service and the second with Helifor Canada, a subsidiary of Columbia Helicopters.

Jeff Roberts, CEO and president of Erickson Incorporated, said: “I am happy these valued government and commercial customers selected us once again and gave us a vote of confidence in our ability to serve their needs. These agreements help provide stability to our recurring base of business and reflect our successful previous performance.”

The US Fire Service agreements guarantee the use of multiple S-64 Aircranes previously utilised under these contracts for the 2015 North American fire season.

These deployed assets are contracted as to the exclusive use of the US Forest Service and will be used in the event of any forest fires.

The selection and extension for timber harvest work with Helifor Canada contemplates year-round activity in British Columbia, The contract runs for a full twelve months from January to December 2015.

Erickson operates a fleet of around 80 rotary-wing (light, medium, and heavy) and fixed-wing aircraft, including 20 heavy-lift S-64 Aircranes. Founded in 1971, Erickson is headquartered in Portland, Oregon.
