Heli-Expo – Thai Aviation Services orders seven Sikorsky helicopters

Thai Aviation Services will be renewing its existing helicopter fleet with five Sikorsky S-76D and two S-92s. The orders were originally placed by a major leasing company.

“We thank Thai Aviation Services for again selecting Sikorsky helicopters to perform critical offshore oil and gas transport missions. Selection of these advanced aircraft combined with Sikorsky’s support services will ensure high aircraft availability rates for customers that rightly demand reliability and performance.” said Christophe Nurit, vice president, sales – Asia, Sikorsky.

The new fleet replaces six older model S-76C, C+ and C++ aircraft and two S-92 aircraft currently operated by Thai Aviation Services. The first helicopter will be delivered in the third quarter of 2016.

“We look forward to strengthening our long-standing relationship with Sikorsky in order to continue the TAS tradition of exceeding the expectations of our customers in Southeast Asia.” said Craig Havas, Thai Aviation Services Deputy Managing Director – Operations, and S-92 Chief Pilot.
