H+S Aviation has announced that the test cell at its facility in Abu Dhabi has been successfully reviewed by Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC) for the PW200 and PT6C-67 series engines.

Peg Billson, president and chief executive of BBA Aviation Global Engine Services, said “This correlation by P&WC is great news for our rotorcraft customers in the Middle East. With our onsite test cell and GCAA and EASA approvals, PW200 and PT6C-67 customers now have an OEM-designated facility in region to provide full engine repair and overhaul capabilities to get them back in the air and back to business.”

Billson went on to note that H+S is the only OEM-designated provider for PW200, PW210 and PT6C-67 series engines in the Middle East. PW200 series engines are found in the AgustaWestland AW109, Airbus H135, Bell 429, Kazan Ansat and MD Explorer. PW210 is a new engine which was tested by Airbus in their X4 demonstrator, but dropped in favour of the Turbomeca Arrano.
