Minneapolis air ambulance operator Life Link III’s services can now be requested and tracked at a touch of a button through its new mobile app OneLink.

The app will allow a direct connection between a mobile, tablet or desktop to the operator’s communications centre, allowing hospitals and first responders to request and track Life Link helicopters.

App requests will be transferred immediately through the operator’s computer aided dispatch system and, in an emergency situation, acted on as quickly as possible.

Edward Eroe, president and CEO of Life Link III, added: “We are proud to offer this innovative resource to hospitals and first responders. OneLink™ is another way we affirm our commitment to always doing what is best for the patients we serve.”

Life Link III partnered with dispatch software company Flight Vector to launch the app. Flight Vector has worked with a number of other medical transport operators to launch on-demand air medical transport apps, including MedFlight, Classic Air Medical and STAT MedEvac.

OneLink can be downloaded through the Apple Store and Google Play, or accessed through a desktop browser.
