Milestone reported a number of successes in 2016, including the value of its helicopter fleet surpassing $4 billion and writing $1 billion in leases and letters of intent.

Its focus on diversification has lead Milestone to offer many of GECAS’ capabilities including debt financing, engine leasing and fleet advisory.

Daniel Rosenthal, Milestone president and CEO said: “We are highly energized by our accomplishments over the past year. In a challenging industry environment we not only grew our business in asset size and leases, but also in scope and strategy through diversifying our portfolio and supporting our customers with expanded financial, productivity and advisory solutions.”

Milestone wrote 23 leases and letters of intent with emergency medical services and 12 in other parapublic missions in 2016 and sees further potential for fleet renewal and service growth in EMS.

The lessor’s debt commitments surpassed $400 million last year to support global operators, offering customers productivity and advisory solutions as well as its basic lease and debt offerings.

“We have great momentum coming out of 2016, and with over $250 million of capital already committed in 2017, we are excited for the year to come. Milestone will continue to draw on the resources of GE to support our customers,” added Rosenthal.
