Helicopter operator NHV Group celebrated its 25th anniversary of missions in Europe and Africa last Friday (July 1st)

The company, headquartered in Ostend, Belgium, staged events at nine NHV bases across Europe and West Africa for employees and their families. The events included entertainment for children, dinners and an awards presentation delivered by the executive committee and live streamed via the video conferencing platform Teams.  The committee also thanked past and present employees, suppliers, contractors, supporters and clients who helped to shape the company over the past 25 years.

Thomas Hütsch, CEO NHV Group, speaking from the company’s Ostend base praised “the creative initiatives, strategies and the continuous effort and passion from the entire team”. Mike Gislam, chief operations officer spent the day in Norwich UK, Laurent Verhelst, chief financial officer visited the base in Abidjan Ivory Coast and Bart Strubbe, chief development officer joined the online meetings from Esbjerg, Denmark.

The company will continue its anniversary celebrations until the end of the year.  It plans to feature key waypoints over the past quarter century, which have helped the company grow from a family-run business into an international group with more than 500 employees.

Operating a fleet of more than 40 helicopters, NHV continues to focus mainly on the energy-producing industry, including the renewables sector. Missions include: maritime services, search and rescue (SAR) and harbour pilot services. The company is an approved training organisation (ATO) and an official service centre for its partner Airbus Helicopters. NHV also provides maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services.
