Gothenburg-based helicopter training company Northern Helicopters has won a contract to train pilots for the Finnish Border Patrol.

Northern Helicopters operates a fleet of Eurocopter EC120B, Bell 206 JetRanger III, Guimbal Cabri G2, Robinson R44 and Schweizer S300 helicopters. The Swedish company is run by chief executive officer, Mikael Randhem. North Helicopters in Sweden is owned by Northern American Helicopters based in Florida.

The Finnish air squadron pilots will join the integrated programme and will include advanced training on the EC120B.

Northern Helicopters exhibited at Helitech 2013 last month displaying on the company’s stand a Guimbal Cabri G2 helicopter.
