PT Travira Air orders two S-76D helicopters

PT Travira Air, an Indonesian company have ordered two Sikorsky S-76D helicopters. The helicopters will be used for oil & gas project that the company is involved with.

PT Travira Air, an Indonesian company have ordered two Sikorsky S-76D helicopters. The helicopters will be used for an oil & gas project that the company is involved with.

Sikorsky made the announcement at the Langkawi International Maritime & Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA 2013) being held in Malaysia. The purchase of the two S-76D aircraft represents the latest addition to the company’s fleet but also represents the launching of the S-76D helicopter in Southeast Asia and Sikorsky expects to deliver the S-76D helicopters in 2015.

“PT Travira Air’s decision to select Sikorsky’s S-76D is both an important step in our customer’s growth, and a milestone for Sikorsky as we begin introducing the S-76D to the Southeast Asia market,” said Robert Kokorda , Sikorsky’s vice president of Sales & Marketing.  “We congratulate PT Travira Air on its decision.  We wish the company well as it expands its offerings to the offshore oil industry.”

The company currently has a fleet of eight Sikorsky S-76 aircraft.
