Sikorsky has appointed Mycopter Aviation Services as the first Sikorsky-authorised customer support centre in south-east Asia for the S-76 family of helicopters.

The support centre will operate from Mycopter’s Subang Airport in Malaysia. Currently around 50 S-76 helicopters operate in the region.

The announcement was made during the 2015 Langkawi International Maritime & Aerospace Exhibition.

“Sikorsky is committed to bringing customer support services closer to operators of S-76 helicopters across Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, Brunei and Singapore.”

Shawn Cornell, general manager of Sikorsky south-east Asia, said: “Sikorsky is committed to bringing customer support services closer to operators of S-76 helicopters across Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, Brunei and Singapore.”

“As the newest authorized service provider within Sikorsky’s growing S-76 global support network, MyCopter Aviation has completed the required maintenance training for all S-76 variants, and is committed to Sikorsky’s high standards for customer support,” added Cornell.
