AgustaWestland announced that the Brunei Shell Petroleum Company (BSP) has signed a contract for two AW139 twin engine helicopters. The contract also includes a comprehensive power-by-the-hour support and training package which will be supplied through AgustaWestland Malaysia. Training will also be supplied with a Level D Full Flight Simulator through the Training Academy based in Malaysia.

Vincenzo Alaimo, head of region, AgustaWestland, said “We are very pleased that BSP has selected the AW139 for its offshore helicopter transport requirements. This contract provides further evidence of the success of the best selling intermediate helicopter among all key Oil & Gas operators in Asia thanks to its outstanding performance, capabilities and safety standards. Through the full backing of AgustaWestland Malaysia’s regional support and training centre, BSP will be allowed to maximize the operational benefits provided by the AW139.”
