Video: Bell shares 525 Relentless update

Bell Helicopters has released a new video showing the progress on its upcoming Bell 525 Relentless Helicopter.

The three-minute video, published on YouTube, shows the building of the first aircraft through a series of still photographs and video.

Highlights of the video include the powering up of the Garmin G5000H avionics suite for the first time, as well as the mounting of the General Electric engine that will power the helicopter.

The video also shows the inner workings of the aircraft’s fly-by-wire system, and ends with the wheels being attached, and text on the screen saying that the helicopter is “geared up for first flight.”

Bell says it is expecting the first flight of the 525 Relentless to occur in the first half of this year.
