Atlantic Airways orders two AW139s

Atlantic Airways, the national airline of the Faroe Islands has ordered two AgustaWestland Aw139 helicopters.

Deliveries are expected in late 2015 and spring 2016, replacing two Bell 412s. The helicopters will perform scheduled services and EMS/SAR within the Faroe Islands.

Jørgen Holme, chief executive officer of Atlantic Airways said: “This is a significant improvement of our helicopter service as the old helicopters are downgraded as new and stricter regulations are introduced in the field.”
