Jay Ortiz, vice president of commercial business in Latin America, says: “LABACE gives us a great opportunity to engage the business aviation community in both Brazil and throughout Latin America.”

“We have already seen a great response to the Bell 407GX and Bell 429 with more than 75 combined new models in operation to date and the corporate market segment is our overall second largest mission type operated by our Latin American customers,” adds Ortiz.

Bell Helicopter has a fleet of more than 1,650 aircraft In the last two years; more Bell helicopters were sold in Latin America than in any global region besides North America.

“The Bell 505 Jet Ranger X has been quickly embraced in Latin America since we first brought the aircraft mockup to the region at FIDAE 2014 earlier this year,” said Ortiz. “We’ve been carefully listening to the needs of our customers throughout the world and have already signed more than 50 purchase agreements for future Jet Ranger X deliveries in the region, which accounts for a quarter of the total purchase agreements signed worldwide.”

The Bell 505 Jet Ranger X has the new Garmin G1000H integrated avionics suite fitted in the cockpit.

The Bell 407GX can carry six passengers and is also fitted with the new Garmin G1000H avionics suite.

The Bell 429WLG can land in a larger number of environments and conditions, providing operators more flexibility. The wheels allow the helicopter to ground taxi, well useful where space is limited.

The Bell 429 is approved to operate at an increased gross weight of 7,500 lb (3,402 kg) in several Latin American countries, including Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, Mexico and Venezuela. The Bell 429WLG is also approved for standard 7,000 lb gross weight operations as well as the additional 500 lb weight increase in both Canada and Brazil.
