Bell Helicopter has signed an agreement to sell two Bell 407GX helicopters to General Dynamic Aero Industry.

General Dynamic Aero Industry, based in Shanghai, is one of a growing number of helicopter operators in China. It is an agent for both Bell and Robinson helicopters in China and specialises in aircraft import and leasing, pilot and engineer training and providing technical support to other Chinese operators.

“The Bell 407GX continues to gain momentum in China,” said Chris Jaran, managing director of Bell Helicopter in China. “Its range and capabilities, combined with the modern avionics package, make it an excellent choice for the Chinese market.”

“Our customers continue to diversify their operations and require aircraft that can meet multiple mission criteria,” added Jaran. “The versatility of Bell Helicopter’s aircraft makes it an ideal solution. We customised General Dynamic’s Bell 407GXs with a multi-mission configuration, so they can take full advantage of the aircraft’s capabilities.”

Prior the show, Bell Helicopter signed agreements for the sale of an additional four aircraft, one Bell 407GX to Nanying, one Bell 407GX to Dayou and two Bell 206L4s to Jiangxi-Tianren.

Jason Johnson, director of sales and customer support at Bell Helicopter said: “Customers are excited about our products, not only because of their versatility and quality, but because Bell Helicopter’s on-going support and service helps create the best value in total cost of ownership.”

“Our customer support engineers serve as in-region contacts to provide assistance, education, training and troubleshooting. In addition, we continue to work with our regional authorized Customer Service Facilities (CSFs) to ensure they have the training and resources necessary to support this growing market,” added Johnson.
