Travellers can book through the company’s website, or through a recently launched iPhone app.

As an introductory offer the first flight costs a flat rate of $99, but will rise to either $199 or $219 depending on the time of departure.

Complimentary hors d’oeuvers will be supplied by Bouchon Bakery, with beverages served on afternoon flights.

After landing at either JFK or Newark Airport, Gotham Air provide a car to transfers passengers directly from the helicopter to the airport terminal.

The company says that during times that the helicopter transfer is unable to run due to strong winds or low cloud base, travellers will be picked up from their home or office and taken directly to their airport of choice in one of the company’s fleet of Tesla S cars.
