Malta military celebrates first AW139 delivery

The Armed Forces of Malta celebrates the delivery of its first AgustaWestland AW139.

AgustaWestland has delivered the first AW139 to the Armed Forces of Malta, which was celebrated with an official ceremony.
The helicopter, delivered in June, will primarily be used to perform maritime border control missions.

Armed Forces of Malta ordered a second helicopter earlier this year and is scheduled to be delivered in December 2014.
