PHI wins Woodside S92 contract

Woodside, Australia’s largest natural gas producer, has awarded PHI International a three Sikorsky S92 contract.

The contract starts in 2023 and will run for between two and three years.

PHI will fly workers from Learmonth Airport to offshore sites in the Carnarvon Basin off the Northwest coast of Australia. The three helicopters will be based in Exmouth and offer 24-hour coverage.

The contract is for the Scarborough Project, located approximately 375 kilometres west-northwest of the Burrup Peninsula. The project includes the installation of a floating production unit and a pipeline to transport gas onshore.

“We are delighted to have been selected by Woodside, an industry leader, to deliver aviation services for their exciting Scarborough Project,” said Mike Price, COO, PHI.
