Russian Helicopters doubles-up for Dubai Helishow 2014

Russian Helicopters is showcasing two helicopters – the new Mi-171A2 search and rescue helicopter and the Ka-32A11BC firefighting model – at Dubai Helishow 2014.

The Mi-171A2, was developed on the basis of the Mi-8/17 series and combines this series’ distinguished operational history with the latest technology and design solutions.

The Ka-32A11BC is the heaviest-lifting model in its class. It can be equipped with horizontal and vertical firefighting systems. Collecting and delivering three tons of water, in hover mode, takes just a minute and a half

Ka-32A11BC helicopters are operated in over 30 countries worldwide. EASA certified the Ka-32A11BC in 2009 and Australia’s aviation regulator in February 2013. The helicopter also meets FAR29 and AP-29 standards.

Dubai Helishow 2014 is being held for the sixth time and it is open to visitors until 6 November.
