Sloane takes second Children’s Air Ambulance AW169 from Milestone

Milestone Aviation Group has delivered a second new AW169 helicopter Sloane Helicopters. Sloane is operating the aircraft for The Children’s Air Ambulance UK. The first was delivered in December 2021.

The Children’s Air Ambulance specialises in flying critically ill children between hospitals.

“We are extremely proud to have expanded our partnership with Sloane and to support a vital service such as the Children’s Air Ambulance UK,” said Pat Sheedy, president and CEO of Milestone. “The Milestone and Sloane technical teams worked closely together to create a bespoke solution for the charity, ensuring that the aircraft are capable of delivering lifesaving care to patients.”

The two AW169s are fitted with specialist clinical interiors. They operate from bases in the North and South of England.

“We are pleased to be growing our EMS helicopter fleet to include these two AW169 helicopters. The lease of these helicopters further strengthens our established and growing relationship with Milestone,” said Jeremy Awenat, managing director of Sloane Helicopters. “The AW169 is the benchmark helicopter in its category offering performance, speed and high safety standards, all of which will contribute to the crucial services the Children’s Air Ambulance UK provide.”
