Ducommun has received multiple contracts from AgustaWestland Philadelphia to provide wiring harnesses for the AW139 helicopter.

The company has received a series of contracts from the AgustaWestland Philadelphia Corporation to produce specialised wiring harnesses for the new AW139 helicopter. Ducommun LaBarge Technologies will produce the wiring harnesses through December 2014 at the Company’s Joplin facility.

“We are excited that AgustaWestland has selected Ducommun for this new opportunity,” said Anthony J. Reardon, chairman, president and chief executive officer. “We have a long history of supporting AgustaWestland through our Ducommun AeroStructures group and are pleased to be able to support them on this important program through our Ducommun LaBarge Technologies group. We have the technology, manufacturing expertise, and high-level support required by AgustaWestland, and look forward to growing our relationship on the AW139 helicopter and beyond.”

Currently, more than 180 customers in 60 countries use the medium-twin engine AW139 for multi-mission roles and nearly 670 AW139s have been sold worldwide.
