The AW139 enters Chilean market

Carabineros de Chile has ordered an AgustaWestland AW139 helicopter, which is slated for delivery in Q1 2015.

This is the first AW139 for the Carabineros and joins five AW109 Power helicopters already in service since 2008..

The aircraft will be used to support a wide range of missions including public order and safety, crime control, counter terrorism, drug control and border security across the nation, search and rescue and transport.

The AW139 helicopter has orders for over 800 aircraft in more than 60 countries from more than 220 customers.
