MD Helicopters reports record orders to commerical and military clients.

MD Helicopters claims record orders during 2023, split between both commercial and military clients, matching its the previous peak year of 2008.

The Arizona-based manufacturer attributes the full order book to improving aftermarket services and its renewed commitment to customer service to customers worldwide.

“This achievement is a testament to our dedicated team and the trust our customers have in us,” said Jason Lindauer, vice president, Sales and Marketing, MD Helicopters. “We have an aggressive campaign underway to meet face-to-face with our customers, suppliers, and prospects to gather firsthand feedback and to continue to strengthen relationships. Our commitment to excellence remains steadfast, and we’re excited about the opportunities ahead.”

MD Helicopters also said it had increased investment in direct communications with customers, improved manufacturing efficiencies, ensured in-stock spares availability and maintained healthy supplier relationships.

Recent transactions included 12 aircraft with the Nigerian Federal government and commercial transactions involving MD 530Fs for multi-use missions. These included VIP aircraft sales to aid the expansion to the Clemens Aviation fleet and sales to United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) for agricultural missions. Sales were also made to WCF Aerospace, representing Skydance Helicopters, which focuses on power and utility services.

The company emerged from Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection two years ago and is owned by an investment consortium including MBIA Insurance, Bardin Hill Investment Partners and MB Global Partners.
