Avpro closes three helicopter sales at Heli-Expo
Avpro closed several pre-owned helicopter transactions during the recent Heli-Expo event in Orlando, Florida.
On the first day of the show, the US aircraft brokerage sold a 2009-build Bell 429 helicopter (serial number: 57056) on behalf of its client SAEREOS, a Bell Helicopter distributor in Ecuador, to an undisclosed buyer.
Avpro followed this with two more helicopter sales on the second day of the show, negotiating the sale of two Airbus Helicopter EC135 T2+ models owned by Kocoglu Group in Turkey to INAER Babcock Mission Critical Services. One model was a 2005-build helicopter (serial number: 420) configured for EMS operations and the other model was a 2008-build corporate helicopter.
“These agreements ratified during this week’s Heli-Expo so far, underline Avpro’s commitment to the helicopter market,” said Bob Rabbitt, managing partner of Avpro.
Avpro is one of the world’s largest international business jet brokerages with gross retail sales of over $1 billion annually. In October 2013, Avpro acquired Heli Asset to form the world’s leading independent helicopter sales and acquisition service.
At the time of the acquisition, Don Bass, managing director of Avpro said: “The helicopter market resembles the fixed wing market many years ago. It is highly fragmented and in need of consistently high standards.”
