Maverick Helicopters has been awarded the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) award diamond award for excellence.

The award recognises operators and maintenance technicians for participating in the FAA award program which encourages continuous learning training programs in aviation maintenance, regulations and FAA rules. The awards range from bronze to diamond.

The company received its sixth award for continued work on maintenance training and aircraft safety for its Las Vegas and Grand Canyon South Rim locations. It is the second consecutive award for its Maui, Hawaii facility

John Buch, president of Maverick Aviation Group said: “We take great pride in receiving one of the FAA’s highest honors, the Diamond Award of Excellence, for the sixth year in a row,

“We aim to provide an unparalleled experience at Maverick Helicopters and the Diamond Award is a testament to our maintenance department’s outstanding commitment to safety, quality and reliability.”

As part of the program, Maverick’s maintenance technicians recorded more than 3,000 hours of training, with more than 2,000 provided through company training courses.
