Schweizer appoints representatives in Ecuador and Peru

Light utility helicopter manufacturer Schweizer has appointed two South American representatives in Ecuador and Peru.

David Horton, president and CEO, Schweizer said: “As demand for our proven and reliable helicopters grows, so has the need to ensure we have representation around the world to facilitate sales, government bidding, and 24/7/365 focused customer support and service for every Schweizer operator.”

In Ecuador the manufacturer has appointed Boncor, a firm with more than 35 years history representing civil and military aerospace companies. Boncor has represented Dassault, Safran Helicopter Engines, Sabena Technics and overseen sales to the Ecuador Air Force, Navy, and Army.

Dr Juan Cortez, general manager, Boncor said flying in Ecuador demands a high-level of pilot training, particularly for search and rescue (SAR) missions “With this in mind, we identified Schweizer’s helicopters as the perfect fit both in terms of aircraft performance as well as efficient parts and logistics support,” said Cortez.

Schweizer’s new representative in Peru is Global Business Logistics (GBL). According to the manufacturer: “GBL’s strong business relationships with manufacturers and Latin American military, government, and civilian aircraft operators have made it a trusted aerospace supplier of aircraft, aerospace parts, and customer support in South and Central America.”

GBL provides training programmes, maintenance assistance, and spare parts to clients.
