Bell has signed an agreement to sell two of its 429 helicopters to EDIC Horizon International Flight Academy.

The UAE-based training school flies an all-Bell fleet, comprising Bell 407s, 206s and now the 429. The new helicopters will be used for ATP, instrument, multi-engine and specialised-mission training.

Hareb Thani Al Dhaheri, CEO, Horizon International Flight Academy said: “We are thrilled to add the Bell 429 to our flight training fleet.

“Bell aircraft have been an essential part of our operations since our creation, and this purchase marks the expansion of our services. The Bell 429 will be utilized for ATP, Instrument, multi-engine and specialized mission training.”

This announcement comes two months after EDIC Horizon signed an agreement with MRO and service-provider Hawker Pacific to purchase two Bell 429IGWs.

David Sale, managing sales director, MEA, Bell said: “EDIC Horizon International Flight Academy sets the precedent for excellent training services in the Middle East. We are honored that it continues to choose Bell aircraft for their operations, and our team looks forward to introducing one of our smoothest aircraft to its staff and students.”
