HAI reports: Bell signs service agreement with Abu Dhabi Aviation
Bell Textron has appointed Abu Dhabi Aviation (ADA) as an authorised Bell Customer Service Facility (CSF). The agreement will see the Abu Dhabi company provide service for Bell 212, Bell 412 and the Subaru Bell 412EPX commercial aircraft.
The aircraft can internally carry up to 5,385lbs in up to 220 cubic feet of cabin space. This can be devoted to food supplies, tools, field equipment, helicopter emergency medical services or palletised gear, said the OEM.
Chris Schaefer, vice president, Global Customer Solutions, Bell said: “Bell’s Global Customer Solutions network accommodates all operator needs and increases accessibility to world-class maintenance and training.”
An ADA spokesperson added: “Bell’s quality customer and maintenance services have enabled us to achieve and sustain excellent operational readiness on our Bell fleet.”
Meanwhile, the manufacturer is partnering with the United Arab Emirates operator to support a regional demonstration tour of its Bell 412 platform, the Subaru Bell 412EPX. The helicopter holds an increased maximum internal weight of 12,200lbs, external weight of 13,000lbs and up to 5,000lbs of goods with a cargo hook.
The largest commercial helicopter operator in the Middle East, ADA operates 61 helicopters and four fixed wing aircraft. The company has accumulated more than 1m flight hours on its Bell fleet.
