Rotortrade delivers Airbus H125 from Tajikistan to New Zealand

Rotortrade has sold a second helicopter to New Zealand MRO.
Rotary dealership Rotortrade has confirmed the sale of a second helicopter to Heli Support – a New Zealand maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) provider and an Airbus completion centre.
The aircraft, a six-year old Airbus H125 with only about 250 flight hours, is being transferred from Tajikistan, central Asia where it operated as the only Western helicopter in the country. The helicopter operated under a government programme to boost tourism and flew charter missions.
The aircraft has been transferred to Rotortrade’s European Maintenance Centre in Tallard, southeastern France where it will be prepared for dismantling, packing, and sea freight shipping.
Expected to enter service early next year, the H125 operated by Heli Support, based in Wanaka, will fly missions across South Island and the wider New Zealand region.
Aurélien Blanc, Rotortrade’s executive director & head of Regional APAC & MEA said: “This second delivery to Heli Support is a strong endorsement of the trust and transparency we work hard to build with our partners. Their confidence in our ability to source, manage, and deliver high-quality aircraft is something we value deeply.”
Meanwhile, earlier this month Rotortrade delivered an Airbus H135 T3 from Italy to India’s Star Air, which is the aviation arm of the Sanjay Ghodawat Group.
The aircraft, sold in September 2025, is now fully operational in India, supporting Star Air’s expansion into high-value corporate and charter operations.
Rotortrade coordinated with Airbus and India’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) to complete the Type Certificate revision and Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) validation for the AAT VIP interior in just six weeks — a process that takes more than four months.
