Bell 505 claims new sales record in Latin America, says OEM

The Bell 505 has logged more than 300,000 total fleet flight hours.
Bell Textron claims its Bell 505 has achieved record aircraft orders in Latin America last year. Without specifying regional sales, the manufacturer confirmed there are more than 600 Bell 505s operating in over 66 countries on six continents. “The Bell 505 reaches new heights as the product-of-choice across Latin America,” it said. “This achievement highlights the growing demand the region has seen for the Bell 505 and its multi-mission capabilities.”
John Ramos, MD, Latin America said the milestone revealed the trust the OEM has with its clients and the efforts of its team. “The Bell 505 has been a highly sought after aircraft in Latin America since its introduction to the market, and that really highlights how well it meets the needs of such a diverse region while also offering exceptional performance and adaptability.”
More Bell 505s operate South America’s Southern Cone – a region comprising the continent’s southernmost nations including Argentina, Chile, and Uruguay – than any other area in Latin America. Bell said its customer service and authorised maintenance facilities were cultivating long-term customer relationships in the region leading to repeat sales, new sales and customer upgrades. There were nearly 2,000 commerical and military rotorcraft operators throughout Latin America, it said.
The Bell 505 was introduced in 2014 and received FAA certification in 2017. Since then, the aircraft has now logged more than 300,000 total fleet flight hours.
The manufacturer revealed record orders for the aircraft at FIDAE 2026 – the international aviation and space fair in Santiago, Chile. The OEM is using the event to showcase its range of vertical lift solutions and its latest customer support initiatives across the region.
Last month the manufacturer revealed full-year 2025 revenue of $4.28bn, up 20% year-over-year from $3.57bn on the previous year.
Meanwhile, fixed-wing business aviation on the continent takes centre stage at our Corporate Jet Investor Latin America 2026 conference later this month. The event takes place between April 27th-28th at the Renaissance, São Paulo, Brazil. Read more details about our annual conference here .
