Bell delivers first 412EPI to Chongqing General Aviation

Bell Helicopter delivered a Bell 412EPI to Chongqing General Aviation of China, the first delivery of the type to a Chinese customer.

The helicopter was handed over during a special ceremony at Bell’s Piney Flats, Tennessee, customization and delivery center on April 22.

Chongqing General Aviation say that they will use the helicopter for fire-fighting.

“We are proud to accept this fine aircraft into our operations, and we are excited to deploy its integrated avionics, payload and lift capabilities to complete firefighting, forest protection, emergency rescue, and law enforcement missions,” said chairman of CQGA Gong Wei “We look forward to continued partnership with Bell to bring helicopter and maintenance capabilities to China as the demand for helicopters grows.”
