Welcome to Helicopter Investor’s new Deal of the Year Awards. Our aim is to recognise excellence in rotary finance transactions, and we need your help to give credit where credit is due by nominating worthy winners.

Whether it’s financial deals supporting life-saving search and rescue and air ambulance missions or powering the growth in offshore energy supply and other deployments, we want to celebrate the very best of helicopter finance deals. A particular focus will be rewarding innovative structures and new sources of finance.

Innovation and excellence

To help us highlight that innovation and excellence, we are recruiting an independent panel of leading industry financial insiders. Reaching for their calculators to help us select category winners will be Clark McGinn, founder of consultancy UpLifting Advice, John Mannion, MD of Kylemore Group, Conor O’Briain, director and Helicopter Finance leader at PwC Ireland and Ed Washecka, CEO, RACE Aviation Partners.

They will be meticulously studying entries in 11 categories spanning Best Americas deal, Most innovative Deal,  M&A Deal and more. See the full list of entries below. From all the category winners, the judges will select the Overall Deal of the Year.

Overall Deal of the Year

To qualify, deals must have closed between April 1st, 2024 and March 30th, 2025. Nominations can include any financing of a helicopter, helicopter operator, helicopter dealer or helicopter leasing company. Please ensure all nominations reach us by April 5th. (We would also be delighted to receive self-nominations).

Making a nomination is straightforward – simply send us the details requested below. Please send your nominations and supporting information to Mike Stones either by email or Word document. Please lead your email or Word document with the mark your nomination with the name of the category

The awards will be presented at our Helicopter Investor London conference on June 4th.
