Three Airbus H225 helicopters have been ordered by the Vietnam Helicopter Corporation.

Three Airbus H225 helicopters have been ordered by the Vietnam Helicopter Corporation (VNH) subsidiaries, Southern Vietnam Helicopter Company and Northern Vietnam Helicopter Company, to support the growth of offshore energy operations and replace ageing fleet aircraft.

Kieu Dang Hung, CEO of VNH said the H225 has proven itself across the operators’ offshore missions. “As we look ahead, we see the H225 forming the backbone of our future fleet, allowing us to modernise our operations while expanding capacity and mission flexibility,” said Dang Hung.

Matthieu Louvot, CEO of Airbus Helicopters said: “We are honoured to continue supporting VNH and its subsidiaries as they strengthen and revitalise their fleet. Their decision to centre future operations around the H225 underscores the aircraft’s exceptional reliability and performance in demanding offshore environments.”

The latest order reinforces a partnership of more than 40 years between VNH and Airbus Helicopters. The agreement reflects the Vietnamese operator’s strategy to modernise and strengthen its heavy helicopter capabilities.

The new H225s will join VNH’s existing Airbus fleet consisting of Super Puma and H155 helicopters. They will be deployed across offshore energy transport, utility missions, search and rescue, and broader transport operations.

More than 360 H225s and H225Ms are in service accumulated over one million flight hours. The manufacturer has sold helicopters to military clients in Brazil, France, Hungary, Indonesia, Iraq, Kuwait, Malaysia, Mexico, the Netherlands, Singapore, and Thailand.

Meanwhile, Louvot began his new role of CEO, Airbus Helicopters on April 1st, 2026. Reporting to Airbus CEO Guillaume Faury, Louvot will  join the company’s Executive Committee.
