Bristow recruits Paul Armstrong to the role of chief operating officier, Government Services.

Bristow Group has appointed Paul Armstrong as chief operating officer, Government Services. Armstrong is due to join Bristow on February 22nd, 2027, after completings current commitments and will be based in the UK.

Chris Bradshaw, president and CEO of Bristow Group said: “Following a comprehensive international search process, we identified a leader whose experience and qualifications align exceptionally well with our Government Services business.”

Government Services remains a strategic growth platform for Bristow, he added. “Paul’s operational, commercial and government services experience will help us build on our strong foundation of operational excellence.”

Backed by more than 20 years of executive leadership experience across aviation, aerospace, defence and government services, Armstrong has led international operations, government programmes and commercial organisations across Europe, the UK and North America.

Armstrong said: “I am honoured to have been selected to join Bristow and lead the growing Government Services business. Bristow has built a strong reputation for safety, operational excellence and service. I look forward to working with the team to build upon that success when I join.”

Bradshaw credited Bristow’s Government Services business with helping the operator achieve 2025 total revenues of $1.5bn in 2025 compared with $1.4bn during the previous year.

“With the continued growth and diversification of our Government Services business, Bristow has evolved into a scaled, multi-mission aviation services provider with leading market positions in our core markets,”  said Bradshaw in February.

Meanwhile, Armstrong will replace Alan Corbett, who will remain with the operator until March 2027 to provide a seamless handover. Bradshaw said: “We are grateful for Alan’s many contributions to Bristow and pleased that he will remain with the company during the planned transition period.”
