Erickson renews Western Forest Product harvesting contract

Western Forest Products, one of the largest lumber producers in Canada, has renewed a longstanding aerial timber contract with Erickson.

Under the terms of the contract, Erikson will base one S-64 Aircrane in western British Columbia. The helicopter will fly from its base to multiple timber sites.

The renewed 12 month contract began on February 1.

“We are pleased to continue our long standing relationship with Western Forest Products. With our capable pilots and reliable crew, the Aircrane is one of the most effective tools for harvesting timber in remote and environmentally sensitive areas.” said Andy Mills, vice president of commercial aviation services, Erickson.

“We are pleased to continue our long standing relationship with Western Forest Products.”

In January, the company renewed a separate timber harvesting contract with Helifor in Western Canada.
