NHV Group promotes Nele Ghesquiere to the role of CFO
NHV Group has promoted Nele Ghesquiere to the role of chief financial officer (CFO), after her service as vice president of Finance.
This promotion follows former CFO Laurent Verhelst’s decision to leave the company. Ghesquiere joined NHV Group as group business controller in 2018. She then became the vice president of Finance in January 2022. Ghesquiere “has had an intrinsic role navigating the company through a turbulent time of growth, helping to transform NHV Group into a top tier player in the helicopter industry, despite the macroeconomic challenges within our market”, according to the company.
NHV Group CEO, Thomas Hütsch said Ghesquiere had demonstrated both “her vast competency” and also her passion for the company. “Nele is the right person to join the leadership team and to create a positive and successful future for NHV,” said Hütsch. “I’d like to personally thank Laurent for his strong leadership, strategic capabilities and financial and international expertise during his tenure,” he added.
Commenting on her promotion Ghesquiere said: “I am delighted to be appointed as the new chief financial officer and to continue the great work that Laurent started at NHV Group.”
Based in Ostend, Belgium, the group specialises in business-to-business helicopter services, with operations in Europe and Western Africa. Missions include: maritime services and harbour pilot services and maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) solutions.
