Bell Textron appoints Danny Maldonado as CCO of Commercial Business Sales

Bell Textron has appointed Danny Maldonado as chief commercial officer of Commerial Business Sales. He will be responsible for all Bell’s global commercial aircraft sales, aftermarket solutions and customer service and the Bell Training Academy.

Maldonado will represent Bell at HAI Heli-Expo 2024 in Anaheim, California later this month. “I am thrilled to return to HAI Heli-Expo as Bell’s chief commercial officer, leading a function I’ve dedicated a large part of my career to,” he said. “Bell will showcase its versatile civil products and aftermarket solutions, and I look forward to reengaging with Bell’s customers and partners at the world’s largest commercial rotorcraft tradeshow.”

Serving in leadership roles encompassing sales, business development, customer support and finance at Textron, he brings more than 30 years of experience to his new position. Maldonado previously served as president and CEO of Textron Financial Corporation for nine years before returning to Bell.

Prior to taking up the role at Textron Financial, Maldonado was Bell’s executive vice president of sales and marketing since 2012. In this capacity he led improved sales and marketing programmes, the integration of customer support operations and the expansion of credit sources for our international customers. He joined Textron in 1990 as associate collections administrator, progressing to various finance and sales management positions, including several projects in Latin America and Europe.

Maldonado was awarded a bachelor’s degree in finance from Saint Mary’s University in 1988 and an MBA from Texas Christian University in 2007. He has also completed Textron’s Growth Leadership Program at Ohio State University, and the Thunderbird Executive Leadership Program at the Garvin School of International Management.
