Blueberry Aviation is to become the Leonardo AW09 distributor for Central and Southern Europe, in a move revealed at the EBACE event in Geneva, Switzerland.

The distributorship will cover the key European markets of Switzerland, Germany, Denmark, Benelux, Spain, Portugal and Monaco. The two companies are finalising the terms of their new partnership. Blueberry Aviation has completed more than 530 helicopter transactions with more than 300 customers for an asset value exceeding $1.88 bn.

Meanwhile, Leonardo chose the EBACE event to reveal a full-scale cabin mock-up of its next generation AW09 single engine helicopter. The design features a VIP-corporate transport cabin layout and paint scheme, marking the entrance of the new model into the Agusta-branded product range.

According to the manufacturer: “The market will be offered a unique combination of the superior features of the AW09 in the single engine segment in terms of cabin space/modularity, technology and sustainability features with the distinguished customisation, comfort, passenger experience and service characteristics of the Agusta VIP brand.”

After its premiere at EBACE, the mock-up cabin will be displayed across Europe, including in Paris and London, this summer.
