Bell sells five Bell 505s to private European operators
Bell has signed purchase agreements for five Bell 505 helicopters to private operators across Europe. The orders were placed by clients in Spain, Switzerland, Poland, UK and Estonia.
The Bell 505 has enjoyed widespread success in the corporate market and has made significant progress in Europe, according to Danny Maldonado, chief commercial officer, Commercial Sales, Bell. “Last year, Bell delivered the 505th Bell 505,” he said. “We’re thrilled to build on this progress and continue highlighting the platform throughout this key region.”
Powered by a Safran Arrius 2R engine, the short single-light aircraft features dual channel FADEC, and Garmin G1000H NXi avionics suite.
Earlier this year, the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) certified the Garmin’s GFC 600H flight control system on the Bell 505. Also this year, Bell received a supplemental type certificate from the FAA for an auxiliary fuel system in February 2024.
Bell revealed the five purchase agreements this week at Farnborough International Airshow.
Earlier this month Textron Bell revealed second-quarter revenue growth of 13% year-over-year to $794m compared with $701m in the same period last year.
