Airbus delivers 361 helicopters in 2024

Airbus has delivered the first H160 to US launch customer PHI Aviation.
Global aerospace giant Airbus announced that it has delivered 361 helicopters during the year 2024 – accounting for nearly 57% of the civil and parapublic helicopter market share.
The company made 171 deliveries in the fourth quarter.
In contrast, the company delivered 346 helicopters in 2023 – a growth of 4% year-on-year.
“I would like to thank our customers for continuing to place their trust in Airbus Helicopters in 2024,” said Bruno Even, CEO of the company’s helicopter division.
The company also reported 455 gross orders (net: 450) in 2024 which it said was due to steady growth in its light, light twin-engined, and heavy helicopters.
“Airbus Helicopters’ order intake in 2024, with an increase bordering 10% in units for the second year in a row, highlights its stable growth in a complex global environment,” Even added.
To note, the company’s market share in the helicopter segment (civil and parapublic) stood at 57% during 2023.
The company will release full-year financial results on February 10th.
To recap, the company reported flat growth in first nine months (9M) of 2024, with revenue inching up by a slight 5% year-over-year to €4.8bn ($5.2 bn) despite delivering fewer helicopters totalling 190 units; seven lower than same period last year.
The company attributed higher revenue growth, despite lower deliveries, to a more favourable mix in programmes and a solid performance in services, suggesting successful implementation of its value-oriented strategy.
