SKYCO signs contract for six Airbus H175s

Chinese aircraft lessor SKYCO International Financial Leasing Co has signed a contract to buy six Airbus Helicopters H175s to be deployed on offshore transport missions. The latest contract follows an initial order for six H175s made last year for Guangdong Emergency Management and Public Service missions.
The new aircraft will be leased and operated by China Southern Airlines General Aviation Company (CSAGA) – one of China’s leading operators serving China’s offshore energy market needs.
Colin James, MD, Airbus Helicopters in China said the agreement demonstrated the partnership between the manufacturer and Guangdong Province in promoting the regional development of general aviation and low-altitude economy in the country. “The H175 helicopter is a state-of-the-art product that performs a wide variety of helicopter missions around the world and will strongly enhance CSAGA’s operations with its unparalleled performance, efficiency and reliability,” he added.
So far, 71 super-medium H175s have been delivered and have logged more than 250,000 flight hours.
Meanwhile, last month GD Helicopter Finance has expanded its H175 order book, firming up 10 H175 orders that were previously options. The latest commitment brings GDHF’s total firm H175 orders to 20 aircraft, with the first helicopter having been delivered in December 2024.
