Aviation systems components firm Signia Aerospace has acquired Precise Flight; a developer and manufacturer of aviation safety systems and equipment. Precise Flight is based in Bend, Oregon, and will continue to operate from its current headquarters.

Precise Flight is known for the Pulselite System, fixed and portable oxygen systems, and Speedbrakes.

“Precise Flight is a critical supplier of innovative products to aviation customers worldwide and leads with forward-thinking design and manufacturing,” said Norman Jordan, CEO of Signia Aerospace. “Their reputation for quality, innovation, and reliability makes them a natural fit for our growing platform.”

Precise Flight will continue to be led by Bill Hoback. “Joining Signia Aerospace marks a significant milestone for our company,” said Hoback. “This partnership strengthens our foundation and positions us to accelerate product development, expand market reach, and continue delivering exceptional value to our customers.”

Precise Flight will report into Signia Aerospace Group president Keith Bagley. “Welcoming Precise Flight into the Signia Aerospace family strengthens our ability to serve the aviation industry with integrated and advanced technologies,” said Bagley. “Precise Flight aligns perfectly with our mission and complements the capabilities of our existing brands.”“

Customers include a number of international airlines, major aircraft and helicopter manufacturers like Bell Textron, Robinson Helicopters and Airbus Helicopters. Signia Aerospace is owned by Arcline Investment Management,.

Precise Flight employs 36 people in six main departments: engineering and design, quality control, sales and marketing, production, customer service, supply chain management, and administration. The company operates from a 10,000sqft design and production facility adjacent to the runway at the Bend Airport. The business manufactures aviation parts under an ISO 9001:2015 certified Quality Management system through National Quality Assurance (NQA).

Meanwhile, last summer Signia acquired helicopter rescue equipment specialist Goodrick Hoist & Winch from Collins Aerospace. The company provides more than 50 proprietary models of rescue hoists and cargo winches for use by civil and military helicopters operators worldwide.
