The new CHC contract is expected to run scheduled run between May 2026 and December 2028, with the option to extend.

CHC Helicopter’s Norwegian division, CHC Helikopter Service, has won a three-aircraft contract from oil giant Equinor to transport crews from Bergen to its offshore facilities. Operations are scheduled run between May 2026 and December 2028, with the option to extend until the end of 2030.

The new contract will see CHC operate three Sikorsky S-92 helicopters from Bergen to serve key Equinor installations, including Troll, Gullfaks, Oseberg, Martin Linge, Statfjord, Kvitebjørn, and Valemon.

Tore Villard, MD. CHC Helikopter Service welcomed the new contract to transport crews from Bergen. “This award highlights the professionalism and dedication of our team and strengthens the strong partnership between our two organisations,” he said. “CHC and Equinor share a deep commitment to safety, innovation, and operational excellence, and we look forward to continuing to serve the thousands of passengers who depend on safe, efficient transportation to and from offshore installations every year.”

The latest contract follows the decades-long partnership between the helicopter company and the oil and gas producer.

Meanwhile, last week CHC Helicopter has signed a new five-year contract with Petrobras to deliver emergency medical services (EMS) for offshore personnel in Brazil. The service, which is CHC’s first EMS contract award in Brazil, will ensure workers requiring urgent medical attention are transported from offshore installations to onshore medical facilities.
