Aero Asset single-engine report charts tighter supply

Aero Asset's latest report focuses on pre-owned, single-engine assets.
Tightening supply and resilient pricing are revealed by Aero Asset’s 2025 Annual Heli Market Trends Single-Engine edition. The report details how the global supply of pre-owned single-engine helicopters dropped 26% year-over-year (YOY), while median transaction prices climbed by 5%.
Retail sales volume fell 7% YOY in units but rose 6% in value. The absorption rate dropped to eight months at the end of last year.
While transaction volume softened in 2025, tightening supply drove price growth, according to Valérie Pereira, vice president of Market Research at helicopter sales and market intelligence firm. “The sharp contraction in supply pushed absorption rate lower, underscoring a continued demand for well-positioned single-engine assets,” added Pereira.
During 2025, Aero Asset reports the sale of 169 single-engine units totalling $412m. Available for sale were 111 units valued at $285m. This represented 26% fall in units and a 23% decline in value.
Pricing remained resilient throughout the year. Median transaction prices rose 5% YOY, while average days on market fell 12%, reaching their lowest level in five years. Helicopter transactions completed close to asking price, with sold prices averaging 9% below the asking level.
North America continued to drive global transaction activity, accounting for 56% of all single-engine helicopter sales last year. Europe was the only region to post year-over-year growth in retail transactions, achieving an 8% rise. Supply fell across most regions, except in Latin America where inventory levels remained stable.
Liquidity remained strongest in the Airbus AS350 B3, B3e and H125 markets, as well as across the Bell 407 range. The Leonardo AW119 market achieved the longest absorption cycle among tracked models.
