VIDEO: Elbit Systems performs demo on Swiss helicopter

Elbit Systems, an international defense electronics company, has successfully demonstrated a flight using Skyvis.

The demonstration flight was onboard a Swiss Air Rescue REGA AgustaWestland AW109SP helicopter.

The Skyvis system will improve flight safety and situational awareness. SkyVis allows flying in limited visibility, this will increase the total number of rescue missions and ability of saving more lives.

A number of landing situations were tested, some of them using only the SkyVis while the pilot’s window was covered, landing on helipads and on a hospital rooftop.
