Falcon inaugurates new VIP Heliport

Falcon Aviation, a UAE business aviation, charter and aircraft management company, has inaugurated a new VIP Heliport at its new Dubai South VIP Terminal.

The heliport is operated exclusively by Falcon Aviation and will be available to all private customers arriving at South VIP terminal.

The helipad – the first in the region – will support three large helicopters and will be used on a “as required basis”. Falcon expects five flights from the helipad per day, with two helicopters available for charter.

Captain George Prentzas, Falcon Aviation’s chief pilot onshore – VVIP operations said: “We are very pleased with our progress as we realise our strategic three part plan to bolster our footprint in Dubai and the UAE. Our goal is to build important infrastructure in the region, not just for our own operations, but to support others as they expand too.”

Falcon claims helicopter charter between Dubai and Abu Dhabi will take 30 minutes. Other significant flights include: Dubai South to Ras Al Khaimah (45 minutes); Dubai South to Diba (45 minutes); Dubai South to  Fujairah (40 minutes).

“We are very proud to be opening up this important facility that will take clients directly to their destination of choice,” said Captain Raman Oberoi, Falcon Aviation’s COO. “We will have a dedicated team to support the heliport activity, to help with flight planning and pre booking slots.”
