CHC has signed a contract with British utilities firm Centrica to provide helicopter services for its upcoming drilling programme in the Norwegian Sea.

The operator will be flying one S-92 from CHC’s Kristiansund base in Norway to Centrica’s drilling platform in the Fogelberg field. The operation is scheduled to begin in Febuary/March 2018.

“We are excited to work with Centrica as their aviation partner in this project,” said Mark Abbey, CHC regional director for Europe, Middle East and Africa. “This project allows us continue to build on our decades of experience supporting oil and gas customers on the Norwegian Continental Shelf as we continue to evolve our services and technology to best meet their needs.”

Centrica’s operation is expected to last for an initial period of 100-150 days.

“CHC is proud to continue a safe and reliable transportation offering to customers in and around the North Sea,” said Karl Fessenden, president and CEO of CHC Helicopter. “We look forward to building on our relationship with Centrica in the North Sea and look forward to flying on their behalf upon project commencement next year.”
