Milestone has agreed a six-year lease extension for 11 H225s with Air Center.

Helicopter lessor Milestone Aviation Group has signed a six-year lease extension with Air Center Helicopters for 11 Airbus H225 helicopters. The extension will start in May 2027 and end in June 2033. Air Center operates the aircraft to support critical government and utility missions  across the US and at other locations worldwide.

The lessor said it is pleased to strengthen its long-standing relationship with the operator. “As the largest H225 operator in the Americas, Air Center has built a strong reputation as a trusted provider of mission-critical aviation services,” said Sebastien Moulin, chief commercial officer, Milestone. “These lease extensions underscore the strength of our partnership and the continued value of the H225 platform in supporting complex and demanding operations. We look forward to supporting Air Center’s continued success for many years to come.”

Air Center’s relationship with Milestone is vital to its success with “the uniquely capable H225 aircraft”, according to the operator. “Milestone’s flexibility and cooperation make them a vital strategic partner, and securing this continued partnership keeps Air Center’s most critical assets in place through all of our current contract terms and beyond,” said Chris Dalton, the company’s chief operating officer.

The operator deploys the aircraft across a range of missions including support services for: US government agencies, strategic programmes, airlift operations, space mission recovery activities and essential personnel transportation. Headquartered in Burleson, Texas and launched 40 years ago, Air Center Helicopters is a FAR part 133, 135, 137 and 145 operator.

Milestone supports about 50 customers in around 35 countries serving a variety of industries. These include: offshore oil and gas, search and rescue, emergency medical services, police surveillance, mining, firefighting, and other utility missions.

In August, Milestone revealed the sale of three Airbus H225 helicopters to Austria-based operator Kitz-Air for deployment on fire-fighting missions.
